This Sunday (4th June) marks the start of the 100th GMB congress. Congress which is held annually is where the lay member ruling body of GMB decides GMB policy on all issues.
GMB Congress 2017 will be held in Plymouth, however, due to the General Election being called for 8 June, the CEC (Central Executive Committee) have revised Congress dates. Congress will now run from Sunday 4 June to noon Tuesday 6 June 2017.
This year the delegate from GMB Sandwell is Julia Sear. Our branch Secretary Darren, Education convenor Sam and workplace representative Jim will be joining Julia on Monday as visitors and we look forward to their reports on congress upon their return.
We wish all delegates attending a very good congress this year and we look forward to watching congress this year.
