Why you should keep your contact details up to date-
- Effective Communication – A valid email address and up-to-date phone number or postal address allow for smooth communication between you and your regional office or GMB officials.
- Support in Formal Meetings- For situations like disciplinary investigations, a GMB Workplace Organiser needs to be able to contact you to provide support and ensure your voice is heard.
- Ballot Votes and Opinions-You need to receive ballots for votes on important issues and be asked for your opinion on relevant matters, which requires accurate contact details.
- Important News and Updates- The union uses contact details to inform members about news, developments in their sector, and changes to membership.
- Information about Benefits- GMB provides members with various benefits and discounts, and updated contact information ensures you don’t miss out on these.
- Legal Support and Claims-If you are involved in a legal claim, such as a compensation claim related to your employment, updated contact details are crucial for the regional office to stay in touch with you.
