GMB Domestic Abuse Charter event

As part of the UN’s 16 days of activism against gender-based violence, GMB are holding a panel event for all members on the GMB’s Domestic Abuse Charter campaign.

Join us tomorrow (Wednesday 25th November) from 6:00pm as we discuss the rise of domestic abuse and practical solutions to supporting and protecting members in the workplace.

GMB launched the campaign 2 years ago to provide better protection and support for workers who are experiencing abuse at home.

Through the work of our reps and officers the charter has been adopted by employers in the private and public sectors meaning that tens of thousands are now covered by the policy.

Chaired by Nell Andrew, National Equality and Inclusion Officer, speakers include: Tracy Brabin MP, GMB survivor activists and our own branch equality officer & National Equality Forum Women’s Lead Sarah James, to discuss Covid -19 and the rise of domestic abuse, practical solutions to supporting and protecting members in the workplace.

We’d be delighted if you could join. For details of the registration link please contact Sarah James at sarah.james@gmbactivist.org.uk
