Following consultative ballots with Union members working in Sandwell Leisure Trust, GMB are currently balloting their members on whether or not to take industrial action.
SLT are intent on removing NJC Terms and Conditions that will have a devastating impact on their lives and feel they have no other choice but to take this course of action.
Darren James, Sandwell branch secretary for the GMB, “Our members have already rejected a proposed pay freeze and withdrawing from nationally agreed terms and conditions. We don’t want to take steps that may result in industrial action but unfortunately, SLT have not come forward with any further proposals that are acceptable to our members”.
We are advising GMB members to vote yes in this ballot.
The ballot closes on 23rd September 2020.
