With increasing concerns raised by members working in Serco over safety fears, GMB have been in discussion with the employer to ensure that safe practices are being followed.
Our members working in Serco continue to deliver vital services to the residents of Sandwell and by working with their employer, GMB are ensuring that the health & safety of members will continue to be taken seriously. However we will not hesitate to challenge employers where this is not happening.
Darren James, GMB Sandwell Branch Secretary said “After talking with Serco management, GMB have made it clear that our members safety must be kept at the top of the agenda. The employer have demonstrated to us that safety of workers is being taken seriously and have addressed our concerns”
