Sarah James and Tony Barnsley represented the joint trade unions at last nights (19.7.16) full council meeting, as Sandwell Council debated the petition submitted in April to support Sandwell Leisure Trust.
The debate was positive and Cllr Richard Marshall paid tribute to the staff at SLT and commended their hard work.
The recommendations in the committee report were agreed.
We continue to await the outcome of negotiations but have stated to the council that we hope the talks will reach an end without any detriment to our members.
