Transgender Day of Remembrance

Today (20th November) is International Transgender Day Of Remembrance (TDOR) – a day to memorialise those who have been killed or who’ve taken their own life as a result of transphobic bullying and harassment; and to bring attention to the continued violence endured by the transgender community.

Whilst we may never know the exact number of those killed because of who they are, we do know that the lives of people are at more risk simply because of being transgender.

GMB Union is a staunch ally of trans and non-binary folk, today, GMB Sandwell recommit to  offer solidarity and support to all those facing discrimination and prejudice.
